As I mentioned before my August birthday prompted me to start designing a lion using the mohair which arrived the other day.  This has definitely been a labour of love as trying to work out the mane in this very stiff material was a bit of a challenge but hopefully you'll agree that it has worked.

He is a sunny, positive little character who simply wouldn't let me stop until I'd solved all the problems of his making (stiffer than usual fabric and fitting issues drafting up the mane being some of many.)

He has already started playing with the other bears in the cave but has made best friends with Dylan who came with us to see the new live action film 'The Lion King' and has been singing the music from it ever since.  Of course Leo thought this was all about him and is now a very big Dylan fan.

Leo (or Simba as Dylan has started calling him) like his star sign, is friendly and definitely a bit of a party animal.  He hopes to journey off to University to find out what it's like to live in Halls or perhaps to travel (although he says preferably not somewhere cold as he likes the sunshine!).  He says he is braver than the Lion in the Wizard of Oz, but he has suddenly gone a little bit shy and quiet so I think he could be trusted to sit on the shelf in a nursery if you do fall in love with him and need him to be quiet and calm.
