Digital Pattern to make a Cat in traditional mohair with cotter pin joints.

The pattern comes as a digital download and includes instructions with photographs and a printable pattern template.

It is most suitable for those who have tried traditional bear making or are confident at making small toys. I am available to contact if you need assistance though.

The finished cat is 16-18 cm approximately dependent on your seam allowances and positioning of the legs. Longer fur cats appear larger.
The pattern will print onto A4 paper or card. Instructions are 6 pages long if you wish to print them. (This includes images of some of my bears and animals to inspire you but you can see more at the website www.devongrizzlies.com)
You will need:

Materials:
1/16th - 1/8th of a meter of short hair mohair fabric. (Short hair is easier to use. I have used a small amount of long haired white to add the white tummy and tail tip)
Wool Batting or toy stuffing (enough to stuff the cat firmly).
Strong button thread in matching colour to mohair.
Black or coordinating embroidery thread.
Two glass eyes 4mm or 5mm. (The bears in the photo have 5mm.)
safety note – due to small parts these bears are not suitable as toys.
Steel shot or pellets to add weight if required.
Cotter pin joints x 5. (Cotter pins x 5, card washers 15mm x 10, metal washers x 10.)
